“Vincent Callebaut” สถาบันสถาปัตยกรรมได้ออกแบบสวนรูปทรงปลาวาฬลอยน้ำ นวัตกรรมเพื่อการบำบัดน้ำเสียให้การพึ่งพาตนเองพร้อมคืนชีวิตสู่ธรรมชาติ 

“Physalia” หรือชื่อเรือรูปทรงปลาวาฬนี้ ถูกออกแบบมาให้มีระบบนิเวศแบบพอเพียงพร้อมการผลิตพลังงานทั้งหมดจากแหล่งหมุนเวียน จุดมุ่งหมายหลักก็เพื่อการกำจัดมลพิษทางน้ำผ่านทางการกรองชีวภาพ 

ทั้งนี้การออกแบบนั้น ไม่ได้ตั้งอยู่บนพื้นฐานที่เกินจริง หากแต่ได้รับการไตร่ตรองว่าในอนาคตเทคโนโลยีเหล่านี้สามารถเกิดขึ้นจริงได้ โดยเรือรูปทรงปลาวาฬจะลอยตัวเหนือน้ำด้วยการปกคลุมของหลังคาสีเขียวและแผงเซลล์แสงอาทิตย์แบบบาง มีเครื่องกำเนิดไฟฟ้ากังหันน้ำให้พลังงานเพื่อการเคลื่อนไหวยังใต้ท้องเรือ ซึ่งพลังงานที่ใช้ในการเดินเรือมาจากพลังงานหมุนเวียนทั้งหมด
