2. เส้นเชียงของ-เด่นชัย-บ้านภาชี ระยะทาง 655 กิโลเมตร วงเงินก่อสร้าง 348,890 ล้านบาท

ทั้งนี้ในอนาคตยังมีแผนโครงการรถไฟความเร็วสูงในระยะที่ 2 ซึ่งจะดำเนินการในปี 2565-2572 เป็นการก่อสร้างเพิ่มเติมอีก 3 เส้นทาง คือ ตาก-พิษณุโลก-บ้านไผ่, หนองคาย-อุบลราชธานี และบ้านภาชี-กรุงเทพฯ-ปาดังเบซาร์
