เมื่อคนต่างด้าวได้รับอนุญาตให้อยู่ในราชอาณาจักรแล้ว จะต้องปฏิบัติหน้าที่ หรืออยู่ตามเหตุผลที่ร้องขอ ตามที่ได้รับอนุญาตเท่านั้น หากมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงใด ๆ เกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ (เปลี่ยนแปลงนิติบุคคลซึ่งเป็นนายจ้าง หรือ พ้นหน้าที่) หรือเปลี่ยนเหตุผลการขออยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรแตกต่างไปจากที่ร้องขอ การอนุญาตให้อยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรดังกล่าวจะสิ้นสุดลงทันที และจะต้องถูกดำเนินการตามกฎหมายต่อไป ทั้งนี้รวมถึงครอบครัวผู้ใช้สิทธิติดตามด้วย 
- รายการเอกสารประกอบการแจ้งยกเลิกวีซ่า กรณีเปลี่ยนแปลงนิติบุคคลซึ่งเป็นนายจ้าง หรือพ้นหน้าที่ (เลิกจ้าง/ออกจากงาน) ณ กก.2 บก.ตม.1 มีดังนี้
1.จดหมาย ถึงสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง เพื่อแจ้งคนต่างด้าวพ้นหน้าที่ (โดยจะต้องระบุวันที่ออกจากงานให้ชัดเจน หากไม่ระบุวันที่ออกจากงาน จะถือว่าออกจากงานตามวันที่ที่ออกจดหมาย) ลงนามโดยกรรมการผู้มีอำนาจลงชื่อผูกพันบริษัท หรือห้างหุ้นส่วนจำกัด
2. สำเนาหนังสือรับรองการจดทะเบียนบริษัท หรือการจดทะเบียนห้างหุ้นส่วนจำกัด ฉบับนายทะเบียนรับรองไม่เกิน 6 เดือน 
3. สำเนาบัตรประชาชน หรือสำเนาหนังสือเดินทางของกรรมการผู้มีอำนาจลงชื่อผูกพันบริษัท พร้อมลงชื่อกำกับรับรองสำเนาถูกต้อง 
4. หนังสือเดินทางของคนต่างด้าวผู้พ้นหน้าที่ (เจ้าหน้าที่ต้องประทับตราพ้นหน้าที่ในเล่มหนังสือเดินทางดังกล่าว) 
หมายเหตุ : 
ทั้งนี้การแจ้งพ้นหน้าที่ (ยกเลิกวีซ่า)จะทำให้การอนุญาตอยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรสิ้นสุดลงทันที จะต้องมาติดต่อเจ้าหน้าที่เพื่อแจ้งพ้นหน้าที่ในวันที่เลิกจ้าง (วันสุดท้ายของการทำงาน) และกรุณาติดต่อแจ้งยกเลิกวีซ่ากับด่านตรวจคนเข้าเมืองเดิม ที่ท่านได้เคยยื่นคำร้องขออยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรไว้
