การศึกษาวิจัยในครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) โดยอาศัยวิธีการวิจัยเชิงเอกสาร (Documentary Research) และวิจัยภาคสนาม (Field Research) โดยมีการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (In-Depth Interviews) จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เลือกมาแบบเจาะจง โดยกำหนดเกณฑ์ในการเลือกผู้ให้สัมภาษณ์ที่มีความสนใจในเรื่องการปลูกฝังจริยธรรมในเยาวชนดังนี้ 1. มีความคุ้นเคย หรือ มีประสบการณ์การทำงานกับพระพรหมคุณาภรณ์ (ป.อ. ปยุตฺโต)
2. มีความสนใจ หรือ เคยศึกษางานนิพนธ์ของพระพรหมคุณาภรณ์ (ป.อ. ปยุตฺโต)
โดยจะสัมภาษณ์ผู้ร่วมวิจัย ซึ่งเป็นพระสงฆ์ในวัดญาณเวศกวัน จำนวน 5 รูป
