กลุ่ม ปตท. มีการควบคุมปริมาณการปลดปล่อยมลพิษทางอากาศ SO2, NOx และ VOCs โดยกำหนดเป้าหมายควบคุมอัตราการเพิ่มการระบายมลพิษทางอากาศให้เป็นศูนย์ในปี 2563 ทั้งนี้ ในพื้นที่ปฏิบัติการ/โรงงานที่ตั้งอยู่หรือใกล้เคียงกับเขตควบคุมมลพิษยังมีการกำหนดมาตรการควบคุมการปล่อยทิ้งมลพิษทางอากาศเพื่อลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและชุมชนอย่างเข้มข้นด้วย

พลังงาน

ปตท. มีการดำเนินงานเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงานในพื้นที่ปฏิบัติการ ตามทิศทางกลยุทธ์สีเขียว (Green Roadmap) ภายใต้โครงการ Energy Efficiency (EE) เพราะนอกจากจะลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมจากการลดปริมาณการปลดปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกแล้ว ยังช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการผลิตได้เช่นกัน ปตท. กำหนดเป้าหมายลดความเข้มของการใช้พลังงาน (Energy Intensity) อย่างน้อยร้อยละ 1.9 ต่อปี เมื่อเทียบกับ BAU จนถึงปี 2560 เป้าหมายดังกล่าวนำไปสู่การพัฒนาโครงการต่างๆ ที่ช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงาน เช่น กิจกรรมการใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพที่มีการลดปริมาณการใช้ไฟฟ้าสำหรับพื้นที่ปฏิบัติการและอาคารสำนักงาน
