กีฬาสีในโรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษาแห่งนี้ เริ้มต้นขึ้นในวันที่ 7 พฤศจิกายน 2550 และจบลงในวันที่ 27 พฤศจิกายน 2550 ซึ่งเป็นวันสุดท้าย เป็นวันที่มีการเล่นและแข่งกีฬาตลอดทั้งวัน ไม่มีการเรียนการสอนใดๆ ในการแบ่งสี จะใช้ตึกเรียนเป็นตัวกำหนด โรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษามีสีของกีฬาสีมากที่สุด คือ 7 สี ได้แก่ สีแดง สีเหลือง สีเขียว สีฟ้า สีแสด สีบานเย็น และสีม่วง ปีนี้ข้าพเจ้าได้อยู่ตึก 9 ซึ่งมีสีประจำตึก เป็นสีบานเย็น ตั้งแต่พิธีเปิดงานกีฬาสีได้เริ่มต้นขึ้น นักกีฬาทุกคนก็เริ่มฝึกซ้อมกันมากขึ้น แต่ละคนก็หวังที่จะได้รับรางวัลไปครอบครองกัน เชียร์ลีดเดอร์ก็ฝึกซ้อม เพื่อใช้แสดงในวันใหญ่ สแตนด์เชียร์ก็ไม่แพ้กัน ซ้อมเชียร์กันอย่างขยันขันแข็ง และบ่อยครั้งมาก กีฬาสีในโรงเรียนนี้เอาจริงเอาจังกันเป็นอย่างมาก คล้ายกับการสอบเลยทีเดียว เริ่มแรกข้าพเจ้าได้ขึ้นสแตนด์เชียร์ เลยต้องซ้อมเชียร์ทุกเที่ยงและทุกเย็น แต่พอผ่านมาสักระยะหนึ่ง รุ่นพี่ก็ได้มาบอกว่า สแตนด์เชียร์เต็มแล้ว มีใครอยากจะเป็นสวัสดิการบ้าง ข้าพเจ้ากับเพื่อนกลุ่มหนึ่งจึงไปสมัครเป็นสวัสดิการ ดังนั้น ทุกเที่ยง ข้าพเจ้าจึงเปลี่ยนงาน จากการซ้อมเชียร์ มาเป็นขนกับข้าวและน้ำขึ้นไปให้สแตนด์เชียร์ที่ซ้อมกันอยู่บนตึกแทน แต่งานนี้ก็คงสบายกว่าการซ้อมเชียร์ เพราะเสร็จงานแล้วจะไปทำอะไรที่ไหนก็ได้ การเรียนการสอนในช่วงกีฬาสีนั้น คาบเรียนจะลดเวลาเรียนจาก 50 นาที เหลือเพียง 40 นาที ทำให้เวลาเลิกเรียนปกติจาก 15.50 น. เปลี่ยนเป็น 14.30 น. เพื่อเวลาที่เหลือนั้นจะได้นำไปแข่งกีฬาต่างๆได้ ทุกๆวันข้าพเจ้าจะเห็นการแข่งกีฬาต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบาสเกตบอล วอลเล่ย์บอล ฟุตบอล ปิงปอง เทนนิส ตะกร้อ แบตมินตัน ฯลฯ ยกเว้นการวิ่ง ที่มีแต่คนฝึกซ้อม บังไม่มีการแข่งจริงๆเสียที เนื่องจากวิ่งแข่งนั้นจะนำไปแข่งในวันสุดท้าย ทุกๆวันในโรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษานี้เป็นอย่างนี้เรื่อยๆจนถึงวันสุดท้าย วันปิดพิธีกีฬาสี ซึ่งอยู่ดีๆเพื่อนของข้าพเจ้าก็ไปสมัครเดินพาเหรดให้ ข้าพเจ้าจึงต้องรีบมาโรงเรียนแต่เช้า เมื่อเข้ามาในโรงเรียนก็พบคนแต่งตัวหลายแบบ เตรียมที่จะทำหน้าที่ของตนเองให้สมบูรณ์ ข้าพเจ้าก็ไม่รอช้า รีบไปหาเพื่อนๆและชักชวนให้ไปเปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้าเตรียมเดินพาเหรด ข้าพเจ้าและเพื่อนๆได้แต่งตัวเป็นผู้ประท้วงตามสโลแกนของสีบานเย็น เมื่อการเดินพาเหรดจบลง การแข่งกีฬาก็จะเริ่มขึ้น ข้าพเจ้าจึงรีบกลับมาเปลี่ยนชุดเป็นสีบานเย็นตามเดิม และไปดูการวิ่งแข่ง ข้าพเจ้าเห็นผู้ปกครองและนักศึกษาจากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยหลายคนตามเข้ามาดูการแข่งขันด้วย การแข่งกีฬาสีดำเนินไปเรื่อยๆจนจบ เพื่อนของข้าพเจ้าที่ขึ้นสแตนเชียร์หลายคนเสียงแหบ เพราะทุ่มเทให้กับการเชียร์กีฬาสี ส่วนนักกีฬาบางคนก็ยิ้มแย้ม ดีใจ ที่ได้รับรางวัล บางคนก็เสียใจ เพราะไม่ได้รับรางวัลตามที่หวังไว้ แต่ก็เป็นธรรมดา ที่การแข่งกีฬานั้น ต้องมีผู้แพ้ และผู้ชนะ เมื่องานจบลงทุกอย่างแล้ว ทางโรงเรียนก็มีการเลี้ยงโต๊ะจีน มีการแสดงคอนเสิร์ตกัน กีฬาสีในโรงเรียนเตรียมอุเมศึกษาสนุก และดีมากๆ ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่ลืมวันนี้ไปชั่วชีวิตทีเดียว
