ประวัติครูบาชุ่ม โพธิโก วัดชัยมงคล ลำพูน

ครูบาชุ่ม โพธิโก เป็นชาวลำพูนโดยกำเนิด เกิดในตระกูล นันตละ ณ.บ้านวังมุย ต.ประตูป่า อ.เมือง จ.ลำพูน เมื่อวันอังคาร เดือน ๕ เหนือ ปีกุน ขึ้น ๗ ค่ำ ปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๔๑ เป็นบุตรคนที่ ๓ ของพี่น้อง ๖ คน โยมบิดาชื่อ นายบุญ โยมมารดาชื่อ นางลุน ได้บรรพชาเป็นสามเณรเมื่ออายุได้ ๑๒ ปี ณ.วัดวังมุยนั้น โดยมีครูบาอินตา วัดพระธาตุขาว เป็นพระอุปัชฌาย์ และได้ตั้งจิตอธิษฐานไม่ฉันเนื้อสัตว์ตั้งแต่นั้น
เมื่อบรรพชาแล้วได้ศึกษาปริยัติธรรม และเดินทางไปศึกษาในสำนักวัดผ้าขาว เชียงใหม่ จากนั้นไปศึกษาต่อที่วัดพระสิงห์ และวัดเจดีย์หลวง ตามลำดับ จนสามารถมีความรู้แปลหนังสือ และพระไตรปิฏกแล้วจึงเดินทางกลับมาจำพรรษาที่วัดวังมุย ลำพูนดังเดิม
