ตามที่ คปภ.ได้ออกประกาศ คปภ. เรื่อง หลักเกณฑ์ วิธีการ และเงื่อนไขในการรับเงิน การจ่ายเงิน การตรวจสอบ และการควบคุมภายในของบริษัทประกันชีวิต พ.ศ. 2557 เมื่อวันที่ 18 มิถุนายน 2557 ซึ่งโดยผลของประกาศดังกล่าวบริษัทประกันชีวิตจะต้องจัดทำคู่มือการปฏิบัติงานสำหรับกระบวนการทำงานของบริษัท ซึ่งจะต้องมีการกำหนดอำนาจหน้าที่ ความรับผิดชอบ เป้าหมายและวัตถุประสงค์ของการปฏิบัติงานเป็นลายลักษณ์อักษร
