“อลังการความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ โอบล้อมท่ามกลางทะเลแห่งขุนเขา”
พระธาตุผาซ่อนแก้ว ถูกสร้างขึ้นเพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลเนื่องในวโรกาสที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงครองราชย์ครบ 60 ปี ความโดดเด่นอลังการที่ไม่เหมือนใคร นอกจากทิวทัศน์สวยๆของทะเล ภูเขารายรอบ และทะเลหมอกสีขาว ก็คือสีสันสดใสอันเกิดจากการนำกระเบื้องสี ถ้วยชามเบญจรงค์ มุก ลูกปัด แก้ว แหวน เงินทอง สิ่งมีค่าต่างๆ ตลอดจนเซรามิคหลากสีสัน มาประดับประดาตกแต่งเป็นลวดลายที่สวยงาม เมื่อยามต้องแสงแดด ทั่วทั้งอาณาบริเวณจะสะท้อนประกายงดงาม ราวกับวัดบนสรวงสวรรค์ เป็นสถานที่อันสวยงามและศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ควรค่าแก่การไปเยือน

คำว่า ผาซ่อนแก้ว เป็นชื่อยอดเขาที่ได้มาจากคำบอกเล่าของชาวบ้าน ซึ่งมองเห็นลูกแก้วลอยลงมาจากฟ้า ก่อนลับหายไปบริเวณถ้ำที่ยอดเขา กลายเป็นความเชื่อว่าเป็นพระบรมสารีริกธาตุเสด็จลงมา และต่อมาก็เป็นที่ตั้งของ “พุทธธรรมสถานผาซ่อนแก้ว” ก่อนจะเปลี่ยนเป็น วัดพระธาตุผาซ่อนแก้ว วัดแสนสวยแห่ง อ.เขาค้อ จ.เพชรบูรณ์
