บทคัดย่อ
ผ้าขาวม้า เป็นผ้าสารพัดประโยชน์ที่คนไทยใช้มาแต่โบราณ เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของภาคอีสานเป็นวัฒนธรรมบนผืนผ้าอันสวยสดงดงาม คือ ผ้าลายตาราง เป็นสัญลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมที่อยู่เคียงคู่มากับคนไทย โดยเฉพาะคนไทยภาคอีสานนิยมใช้ผ้าขาวม้าในชีวิตประจำวันมากที่สุด ผ้าข้าวม้าเป็นสื่อแสดงถึงวัฒนธรรมและความงดงามของผืนผ้าของคนไทย ใช้ประโยชน์ได้อเนกประสงค์ เราจึงต้อการงศึกษาเรื่องผ้าขาวม้า ซึ่งเป็นภูมิปัญญาของคนไทย คณะผู้จัดทำจึงต้องการนำเสนอประโยชน์ของผ้าขาวม้า เพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นสารพัดประโยชน์ของผ้าขาวม้า ที่พัฒนามาภายใต้ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของคนไทยในท้องถิ่น และแนวคิดที่จะนำผ้าขาวม้ามาออกแบบเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ให้มีความโดดเด่น ไปเผยแพร่ในปี2558ในประชาคมอาเซียน มีการจัดตั้งศูนย์เผยแพร่แสดงจำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์ OTOP เพื่อสนับสนุนภูมิปัญญาชาวบ้านการทอผ้าขาวม้า ปัจจุบันผ้าขาวม้าได้ถูกกลับนำมาแปลงโฉมอีกครั้ง คงไว้ซึ่งเอกลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยให้สามารถเข้าไปอยู่ในชีวิตประจำวันของคนทุกเพศทุกวัยทั้งชาวไทยและต่างประเทศได้มากขึ้น แต่เนื่องจากกำไรที่ได้จากการจำหน่ายผ้าขาวม้าค่อนข้างต่ำไม่อาจยึดเป็นอาชีพเลี้ยงตัวได้อย่างยั่งยืน คณะผู้จัดทำจึงทำการศึกษาเรื่องผ้าขาวม้าเพื่อเผยแพร่ปัญหาในการผลิตและจำหน่ายผ้าขาวม้า เพื่อเผยแพร่ให้คนไทยช่วยกันสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการผลิตและการใช้ผ้าขาวม้าให้สามารถเป็นอาชีพที่เลี้ยงตัวได้อย่างยั่งยืนตลอดไป
