ค่าคะแนน 1 หมายถึง ข้อคำถามมีความสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์หรือสิ่งที่ต้องการวัด
0 หมายถึง ข้อคำถามที่ไม่แน่ใจว่ามีความสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์หรือสิ่งที่ต้องการวัด
-1 หมายถึง ข้อคำถามที่ไม่สอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์หรือสิ่งที่ต้องการวัด
ทั้งนี้ ข้อคำถามที่มีค่า IOC ตั้งแต่ 0.50 – 1.00 จะถือว่ามีค่าความเที่ยงตรง สามารถนำไปใช้ได้แต่หากข้อคำถามใดที่มีค่า IOC ต่ำกว่า 0.50 – 1.00 จะถือว่ามีค่าความเที่ยงตรง สามารถนำไปใช้ได้แต่หากข้อคำถามใดที่มีค่า IOC ต่ำกว่า 0.50 ผู้วิจัยจะต้องปรับเนื้อหาใหม่ให้สอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์
