การศึกษาครั้งนี้นี้มีจดุมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาทักษะการออกเสียงและการเน้นเสียงพยางค์ในการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ ของผู้เรียนในสาขาภาษาอังกฤษที่อยู่ในชั้นปีที่ 4 ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน โดยเลือกกลุ่มเป้าหมายมาทั้งหมด จำนวน 20 คน และกลุ่มคำ 20 คำจากการสุ่มในหนังสือเรียนวิชาภาษาศาสตร์ ที่นิสิตเคยเรียนกันมาก่อนและพบปัญหาในคำนั้นๆจึงเลือกมาเพื่อทำแบบทดสอบ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือแบบทดสอบการเน้นเสียงพยางค์ในคำภาษาอังกฤษ โดยเลือกกลุ่มคำที่มีเพียง 2 พยางค์ การหาค่าสถิติที่ใช้ในการศึกษา ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ที่มีการหาค่าเหล่านี้จากการใช้โปรแกรมexcel ในการหา ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการเน้นเสียงในคำภาษาอังกฤษที่กำหนดไว้ให้นิสิตได้ทำแบบทดสอบได้ถูกต้องมากกว่าผิด การศึกษาการทำวิจัยครั้งนี้จึงเป็นไปตามเป้าหมายที่ได้ตั้งไว้ และสุดท้ายการทำวิจัยครั้งนี้สามารถพัฒนาในเรื่องการออกเสียงที่สามารถนำไปใช้ในห้องเรียน,สื่อสารกับชาวต่างชาติได้ถูกต้องและเกิดข้อผิดพลาดน้อยที่สุด
