โครงงานนี้จึงทำการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับหลักการทำงานของเครื่องอบแห้งแบบพ่นฝอย ศึกษาตัวแปรที่ส่งผลต่อประสิทธิภาพการอบแห้งแบบพ่นฝอย และศึกษาสภาวะที่เหมาะสมในการทำการทดลองโดยใช้การออกแบบการทดลองแบบบ็อกซ์-เบห์นเคน เพื่อศึกษาพื้นผิวตอบสนอง แล้วศึกษาหาสภาวะที่ทำให้ได้การอบแห้งที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด
