วัดไร่ขิง ได้รับพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ยกฐานะเป็นพระอารามหลวงชั้นตรี ชนิดสามัญ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 10 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2533
