พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ สุพรรณบุรี
    สถานที่รวบรวมเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ของเมืองสุพรรณ ตั้งแต่สมัยยุคหินเดินทางผ่านกาลเวลา จนถึงปัจจุบัน สื่อที่นำมาจัดแสดง มีหลายประเภท ทั้งรูปภาพ งานปั้น ที่งดงาม จนถึงการใช้เทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ ที่ตื่นตาเร้าใจ ที่จะให้ทั้งความรู้ และความเพลิดเพลิน กับการแวะชม
    ภาพของคำว่า " พิพิธภัณฑ์ " ทำให้ผมนึกถึงของเก่าๆ รูปปั้น พระพุธรูป หม้อแตกๆ ฯลฯ แต่ปัจจุบัน รูปแบบพิพิธภัณฑ์หลายแห่งเปลี่ยนไป มีสิ่งใหม่ๆที่ทำให้เกิดความน่าสนใจเพิ่มมากขึ้น ทำให้การศึกษาหาความรู้เรื่องราวของประวัติศาสตร์ ไม่ใช่เรื่องที่น่าเบื่ออีกต่อไป

ริมถนนสาย สุพรรณ-ชัยนาท (340)  บริเวณศูนย์ราชการใหม่จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ก้าวแรกสถานที่ภายในสะอาดสวยงาม แอร์เย็นฉ่ำ ภายในแบ่งเป็นห้องต่างๆ เริ่มตั้งแต่สมัยการต่อสู้ปกป้องบ้านเมือง ห้องรวบรวมชนเผ่าต่างๆที่มาอาศัยในเมืองสุพรรณ ห้องแสดงวิถีชีวิตของชนต่างเชื้อชาติและเผ่าพันธุ์ ที่ทำด้วยหุ่นจำลอง ให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนจริง ห้องแสดงโบราณวัตถุ และวัตถุมงคลแบบต่างๆ ที่หายากและมีชื่อเสียง ที่ค้นพบในจังหวัดสุพรรณ
ห้องแสดงศิลปะพื้นบ้านเมืองสุพรรณ ทั้งในอดีตและปัจจุบัน รวมถึงศิลปินเพลงที่มีชื่อเสียง อย่าง สุรพล สมบัติเจริญ พุ่มพวง ดวงจันทร์ และศิลปินอีกหลายท่าน พร้อมมีเพลงของเหล่าศิลปินให้เลือกฟัง และอีกหลากหลายความน่าสนใจ

เป็นห้องที่รวบรวมเรื่องราวชีวิตของ นายบรรหาร ศิลปอาชา ตั้งแต่เด็ก การต่อสู้ และผลงานทางการเมือง จนถึงปัจจุบัน เป็นอาคารจัดแสดงที่ไม่ควรพลาดชม
และ โรงละครแห่งชาติภาคตะวันตก จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี



พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ สุพรรณบุรี นำเสนอเรื่องราว วิถีชีวิต ของชาวจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี นับตั้งแต่หลักฐานสำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์ ที่กล่าวถึงเมืองสุพรรณบุรีในอดีต หลักฐานที่แสดงถึงพัฒนาการของเมืองสุพรรณบุรี ตั้งแต่สมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ ทวาราวดี ลพบุรี อยุธยา และรัตนโกสินทร์ เหตุการณ์ยุทธหัตถี กลุ่มชนต่างๆที่อาศัยในจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ประวัติบุคคลสำคัญของจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรีในอดีต วรรณกรรมสำคัญของจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี เพลงพื้นบ้านหรือเพลงลูกทุ่ง จนถึงสุพรรณบุรีในวันนี้

พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ สุพรรณบุรี จัดตั้งขึ้นตามโครงการพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ ประจำเมืองเมื่อปีพุทธศักราช ๒๕๓๘ เพื่อให้เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ด้านโบราณคดี ประวัติศาสตร์มานุษยวิทยาศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นของจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรีและเพื่อสนองแนวพระราชดำริในสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ ส
