เมื่อเวลา 13:30 น. วันที่ 7 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2557 นายนพสิทธิ์ชา ณ นคร หัวหน้าฝ่ายกิจกรรมเด็ก และเยาวชน สำนักการศึกษาเมืองพัทยา เป็นประธานในการประชุมแต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการจัดงานครู ประจำปี 2557 พร้อมด้วยหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วมประชุมอย่างพร้อมเพียง ที่ ห้องประชุม 221 ศาลาว่าการเมืองพัทยา ตามที่เมืองพัทยาได้กำหนดจัดงานวันครู ประจำปี 2557 ในวันที่ 16 มกราคมที่จะถึงนี้ ตั้งแต่เวลา 08:00 น. ณ ศูนย์กีฬาแห่งชาติภาคตะวันออก ซอยชัยพฤกษ์ 2 โดยภายในงานได้มีกำหนดให้มีการประกอบพิธีทางศาสนา, พิธีระลึกถึงพระคุณบูรพาจารย์, มอบโล่รางวัลแก่ผู้อำนวยการสถานศึกษาดีเด่น, มอบโล่รางวัลแก่รองผู้อำนวยการสถานศึกษาดีเด่น, มอบโล่รางวัลแก่ครูดีเด่นในดวงใจ และมอบโล่รางวัลแก่นักการดีเด่น เพื่อต้องการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนวิชาชีพครู ซึ่งเป็นอาชีพที่มีเกียรติ และสร้างประโยชน์เหลือคณาแก่ประเทศชาติ เนื่องจากครูเป็นผู้ประสิทธิ์ประสาทชวิชาความรู้แก่เยาวชน เพื่อเป็นกำลังสำคัญในการพัฒนาชาติ ดังนั้นเมืองพัทยาจึงได้จัดกิจกรรมวันครูขึ้นทุกปี อันเป็นการเชิดชูเกียรติ และสร้างความสามัคคีในหมู่คณะครูอาจารย์ในสังกัดโรงเรียนเมืองพัทยา
ด้านนายนพสิทธิ์ชา ณ นคร หัวหน้าฝ่ายกิจกรรมเด็ก และเยาวชน สำนักการศึกษาเมืองพัทยา เผยว่า “ เด็กนั้นเป็นอนาคตของชาติ ซึ่งบุคคลที่ทำหน้าที่ในการปั้นเด็กๆ นั้นคือ ครู เพราะหากเด็กๆ ไม่มีครูคอยสั่งสอนก็เหมือนเรือที่ไม่มีหางเสือไร้ทิศทาง ดังนั้นครูจึงเป็นบุคคลสำคัญที่สังคมให้การยอมรับ เมืองพัทยาจึงให้ความสำคัญมาโดยตลอด และจัดกิจกรรมวันครู เพื่อเชิดชูเกียรติ เนื่องจากเมืองพัทยามีนโยบายพัฒนาด้านการศึกษา นอกจากเยาวชนแล้ว ครูเป็นอีกบุคคลสำคัญบุคคลหนึ่งที่ควรจะได้รับการยกย่อง และพัฒนาด้วย ”
