การสำรวจครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาว่าปัจจัยอะไรที่ส่งผลให้น้ำหนักเพิ่มขึ้นและส่งผลให้เกิดปัญหาสุขภาพที่เกิดจากสภาวะที่น้ำหนักเพิ่มขึ้นหรือทำให้เป็นโรคที่เกิดจากความอ้วน โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการสำรวจ เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่อยู่ในช่วงอายุตั้งแต่ 10-50 ปีขึ้นไป จำนวน 50 คนทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิง ซึ่งได้มาจากการสำรวจผ่านการทำแบบสอบถามออนไลน์

เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการสำรวจ ได้แก่ (1) แบบสอบถามออนไลน์ที่ทำผ่านเว็บไซต์ของ google เพื่อนำข้อมูลไปใช้ในการทดสอบซึ่งรูปแบบของการทำแบบสอบถามนั้นประกอบไปด้วยคำถามที่เป็นข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของแต่ละคนได้แก่ เพศ อายุ น้ำหนัก ส่วนสูง ชั่วโมงการออกกำลังกาย การบริโภคอาหารเช้าในแต่ละวัน (2) โปรแกรม STATA เป็นโปรแกรมใช้ทดสอบข้อมูลว่าปัจจัยใดที่ส่งผลต่อน้ำหนักที่เพิ่มขึ้นและวัดความแม่นยำของข้อมูลผ่านการคำนวณของโปรแกรม

วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยนำผลสำรวจที่ได้จากการทำแบบสอบถามออนไลน์มาทดสอบในโปรแกรม STATA เพื่อทดสอบว่าปัจจัยที่ได้สอบถามในแบบสอบถามนั้นส่งผลต่อน้ำหนักที่เพิ่มขึ้นหรือไม่
