ทำการทดลองเปรียบเทียบการไถพรวนดินและไถกลบพืชปุ๋ยสดตามด้วยการปลูกสับปะรด ในศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาปัจจัยการผลิตทางการเกษตร เลขที่ 117 หมู่ 14 ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดขอนแก่น ที่มีเนื้อดินบนเป็นดินทรายปนดินร่วน (Loamy sand: Ls) บนชุดดินสตึก (Satuk series, Oxic Paleustults, fine-loamy siliceous) โดยปลูกแบบแถวคู่ ระยะปลูก 30 x 50 x 90 เซนติเมตร (ระยะต้น x ระยะในแถว x ระยะระหว่างแถว) ขนาดแปลงย่อย 6 x 6 เมตร วางแผนการทดลองแบบ Split plot in RCB ประกอบด้วย 4 ปัจจัยหลัก และ 3 ปัจจัยรอง จำนวน 4 ซ้ำปัจจัยหลัก: การไถ (A) 4 แบบ ประกอบด้วย การไถผาล 3 (การไถปกติ) ร่วมกับไถพรวน 1 ครั้งก่อนปลูกพืชปุ๋ยสด และ ไถพรวนอีก 1 ครั้งก่อนปลูกสับปะรด (A1) การไถสิ่ว (ไถเบิกดาน)ร่วมกับไถพรวน 2 ครั้งก่อนปลูกพืชปุ๋ยสด และไม่ต้องไถพรวนก่อนปลูกสับปะรด (A2) การไถสิ่ว (ไถเบิกดาน)ร่วมกับไถพรวน 1 ครั้ง ก่อนปลูกพืชปุ๋ยสด และไม่ต้องไถพรวนก่อนปลูกสับปะรด (A3) การไถผาล 3(การไถปกติ)ร่วมกับไถพรวน 1 ครั้งก่อนปลูกพืชปุ๋ยสด และไม่ต้องไถพรวนก่อนปลูกสับปะรด (A4) ปัจจัยรอง: การปลูกพืชการบันทึกข้อมูล มีการเก็บข้อมูลต่างๆดังนี้
1. มีการเก็บตัวอย่างดินก่อนไถพรวนดิน และหลังปลูกสับปะรดเพื่อหาสมบัติทากายภาพและเคมีของดิน
2. บันทึกข้อมูลการเจริญเติบโตของสับปะรดโดยวัดความยาวใบ (D-leaf) ปริมาณไนโตรเจน ฟอสฟอรัส และโพแทสเซียมทั้งหมดในใบสับปะรด เมื่ออายุ 4 เดือน และ 6 เดือน
