3.จัดทำแผนพัฒนาทะเบียนธุรกิจนำเที่ยวและมัคคุเทศก์ รวมทั้งประสาน ส่งเสริมและสนับสนุน ให้มีการปฏิบัติ ตามที่กำหนด
4.จัดทำแผนพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยว รวมทั้งประสาน ส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนให้มีการปฏิบัติตามแผนที่กำหนด
5.ดำเนินการตามกฎหมาย ว่าด้วยธุรกิจนำเที่ยว และมัคคุเทศก์ และกฎหมายอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้อง
6.ติดตามประเมินผลงานด้านพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยว
7.ส่งเสริม สนับสนุนกิจการภาพยนตร์ ทั้งภาคการผลิต การบริหารและกิจการที่เกี่ยวข้อง
8.ปฏิบัติการอื่นใดตามที่กฎหมายกำหนด ให้เป็นอำนาจหน้าที่ของสำนักงาน หรือตามที่กระทรวง หรือคณะรัฐมนตรีมอบหมาย

สำนักพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยว มีอำนาจหน้าที่
