My dear Jill:
It is hard for me to believe that you are twenty-one years of age today and that you have really “grown up” for it seems that yesterday you were a little baby in your mother‘s arms. Nevertheless. I do not feel you are more grown up today than you were yesterday.
In my view, your parents feel the same thing as 1 do. This is the reason why they still treat you as a little child. But you should bear with it gracefully.
Please accept the little present I have enclosed for your twenty-first birthday. At the same time, I hope you will have a good time at your birthday party tonight.
All my very best wishes for loday and for the future.
With much love from
Margaret
