พระจุฬามณีเจดีย์ ตั้งอยู่บนยอดเขาดา

พระจุฬามณีเจดีย์ ตั้งอยู่บนยอดเขาดาวดึงส์ วัดคีรีวงศ์ กลางใจเมืองนครสวรรค์ เมื่อเดินทางถึงเมืองนครสวรรค์แล้ว จะมองเห็นพระจุฬามณีเจดีย์ งามสง่า
พระเดชพระคุณ ท่านเจ้าคุณพระราชพรหมาจารย์ (หลวงพ่อมหาบุญรอด) เจ้าอาวาสวัดคีรีวงศ์ รองเจ้าคณะจังหวัดนครสวรรค์ ได้ริเริ่มสร้าง พระจุฬามณีเจดีย์ เมื่อปีพุทธศักราช ๒๕๒๔ โดยใช้งบประมาณในการก่อสร้าง ประมาณ ๓๕ ล้านบาท ซึ่งขณะนี้ได้ก่อสร้างไปแล้วประมาณ ๙๐ เปอร์เซ็นต์

โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์โดยย่อ ๘ ประการ

(๑) เพื่อเป็นพุทธบูชา ธรรมบูชา สังฆบูชา

(๒) เพื่อยกย่องเชิดชูพระพุทธศาสนา

(๓) เพื่อประกาศเกียรติคุณของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า

(๔) เพื่อสนองคุณพระพุทธศาสนา

(๕) เพื่อปลูกศรัทธาประชาชนให้เข้าวัด สร้าง กุศล ปฏิบัติธรรม

(๖) เพื่อช่วยรักษาวัดคีรีวงศ์ พระพุทธศาสนา และประเทศชาติ ให้เจริญมั่นคง

(๗) เพื่อช่วยอุปถัมภ์การศึกษาธรรม ปฏิบัติธรรม การเผยแผ่ธรรมของวัดคีรีวงศ์

(๘) เพื่อเป็นศรีสง่าของจังหวัดนครสวรรค์ และประเทศชาติ
เป็นพระมหาเจดีย์ที่สร้างขึ้นอย่างวิจิตรตระการตายอดสูงเสียดฟ้าระปุยเมฆ ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนยอดเขาดาวดึงส์ วัดคีรีวงศ์ คือพระจุฬามณีเจดีย์ พระจุฬามณีเจดีย์สร้างขึ้นตรงฐานเจดีย์เก่าซึ่งเป็นเจดีย์ที่สร้างขึ้นในสมัยศตวรรษที่ ๑๙ ปลายกรุงสุโขทัย ประมาณ ๖๐๐ ปีมาแล้ว

ลักษณะของพระจุฬามณีเจดีย์สร้างเป็นฐาน ๔ เหลี่ยม หมายถึงมหาสติปัฏฐาน ๔ ซึ่งหมายถึง การเอาสติเป็นที่ตั้ง กำหนดเอาสติเป็นใหญ่ในการบำเพ็ญกรรมฐานโดยพิจารณาฐาน ๔ คือ กาย เวทนาจิต ธรรม เป็นอารมณ์ ให้สติจดจ่ออยู่กับฐานอารมณ์นั้น ๆ ไม่ให้พลั้งเผลอ ส่วนความสูง ๔ ชั้นหมายถึง อริยสัจ ๔ คือทุกข์ ความไม่สบายกายไม่สบายใจ สมุทัย คือสาเหตุทำให้เกิดทุกข์ นิโรธคือการดับทุกข์ และมรรค คือหนทางและแนวทางสำหรับดับทุกข์
พระเจดีย์มี ๙ องค์ คือ องค์ใหญ่อยู่ชั้นบน มีพระเจดีย์เล็ก เป็นบริวาร ๘ องค์ รวมเป็น ๙ องค์ มีความหมาย เปรียบด้วยโลกุตรธรรม ๙ คือ มรรค ๔ ผล ๔ นิพพาน ๑ โดย ๔ องค์ชั้นล่างเปรียบด้วยมรรค ๔ และ ๔ องค์ ชั้นบน เปรียบด้วยผล ๔
ส่วน องค์กลาง เปรียบด้วยพระนิพพาน แสดงว่า พระจุฬามณีเจดีย์สร้างขึ้นมาด้วยลักษณะที่อิงอยู่กับแนวคิดในทางธรรมแห่งพุทธศาสนาโดยละเอียดอ่อนและแยบยลแฝง ไว้ด้วยความคิดอันหลักแหลมลึกซึ้ง ปล้องไฉนของพระเจดีย์ที่มองเห็นเป็นปล้องๆ นั้นมีอยู่ ๒๗ ปล้อง เปรียบด้วยสุคติภูมิ ๒๗ ชั้น คือมนุษย์ ๑ ชั้น สวรรค์ ๖ ชั้น รูปพรหม ๑๖ ชั้น อรูปพรหม ๔ ชั้น รวมเป็น ๒๗ ชั้น
ส่วนรูปสูงสุดของพระเจดีย์ที่มีลักษณะกลมนั้น เปรียบด้วยพระนิพพาน คือความดับสิ้นเชิงแห่งกองทุกข์ ส่วนที่คอระฆังมีลักษณะรูประฆัง เปรียบด้วยระฆังที่มีไว้สำหรับตี ประกาศให้คนทำความดี หรือประกาศเชิญชวนให้ชาวพุทธมาสร้างกุศล และปฏิบัติธรรม เมื่อมองเห็นพระเจดีย์ที่ตระหง่านและแสนจะเพริศแพร้วอลังการแล้วจะก่อให้เกิดความปีติซาบซ่านใจ โน้มน้าวใจให้อยากขึ้นไปไหว้ เพื่อความปลาบปลื้มปีติใจ และสร้างบุญบารมี เพื่อจะได้ไปสู่สุคติภูมิ โดยผู้ปรารถนาจะไปกราบไหว้นมัสการพระเจดีย์
