ปัญหาสำคัญอีกอย่างคือ ค่านิยมของเด็กไทยจะมุ่งเรียนต่อและเสาะหาใบปริญามากกว่าที่จะหางานทำเพื่อสร้างทักษะ ส่งผลให้ตลาดงานระดับอาชีวศึกษาที่เป็นตลาดใหญ่ขาดแคลนแรงงาน
ผมขอส่งท้ายด้วยข้อสังเกตุว่า ถ้าตลาดจะยังคงมีแต่ข้อมูลค่าจ้างตามวุฒิอย่างเดียวเช่นนี้ คงกระตุ้นให้คนสนใจเรียนอาชีวะเน้นฝีมือ (Skills) ได้ไม่มากนัก แต่ถ้าให้ค่าจ้างตามทักษะฝีมือไม่ใช่ตามวุฒิ คนเรียนจะฝึกและฝึก มากกว่าสอบและสอบ หรือติวแล้วสอบ ....
