แผ่นดินไหวในมหาสมุทรอินเดีย พ.ศ. 2547 เป็นแผ่นดินไหวใต้ทะเล เกิดขึ้นเมื่อเวลา 07.58 น. ตามเวลาในประเทศไทย (00:58 UTC) เมื่อวันที่ 26 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2547 (ค.ศ. 2004) ศูนย์กลางอยู่ลึกลงไปในมหาสมุทรอินเดีย ใกล้ด้านตะวันตกของตอนเหนือเกาะสุมาตรา ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย แรงสั่นสะเทือนจากแผ่นดินไหว ทำให้เกิดความเสียหายบนเกาะสุมาตรา และยังรับรู้ได้ในภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย

แผ่นดินไหวเกิดจากการยุบตัวของเปลือกโลกใต้มหาสมุทรอินเดีย กระตุ้นให้เกิดคลื่นสึนามิสูงราว 30 เมตร[3] เข้าท่วมทำลายบ้านเรือนตามแนวชายฝั่งโดยรอบมหาสมุทรอินเดีย ประมาณการว่ามีผู้เสียชีวิตจากแผ่นดินไหวครั้งนี้ใน 14 ประเทศมากกว่า 230,000 คน นับเป็นหนึ่งในภัยพิบัติทางธรรมชาติครั้งร้ายแรงที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์ ประเทศที่ได้รับความเสียหายมากที่สุดได้แก่ ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย รองลงมาคือประเทศศรีลังกา ประเทศอินเดีย และประเทศไทย ตามลำดับ
