การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหาในการจัดการแหล่งน้ำเพื่อการเกษตร หมู่ที่ 2 บ้านในคลอง ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ (2) เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการจัดการแหล่งน้ำเพื่อการเกษตร โดยการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน หมู่ที่ 2 บ้านในคลอง ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ (3) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางการจัดการแหล่งเพื่อการเกษตรโดยการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนหมู่ที่ 2 บ้านในคลอง ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยผู้วิจัยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักประกอบด้วย กลุ่มผู้ใช้น้ำ จำนวน 10 คน กลุ่มผู้ดูแลน้ำ จำนวน 1 คน และกลุ่มผู้นำและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดการแหล่งน้ำเพื่อการเกษตร จำนวน 14 คน หมู่ที่ 2 บ้านในคลอง ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ รวมทั้งสิ้น จำนวน 25 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์ แบบมีโครงสร้างแนวคำถามครอบคลุมประเด็นเนิ้อหา มีการตรวจสอบความถูกต้องของข้อมูลโดยใช้วิธี การตรวจสอบข้อมูลสามเส้าด้านข้อมูล สถิติที่ใช้ ได้แก่ การแจกแจงความถี่ และค่าร้อยละ
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า หมู่ที่ 2 บ้านในคลอง ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ มีปัญหาการจัดการแหล่งน้ำเพื่อการเกษตร 6 ประเภท ได้แก่ 1. ขาดแคลนงบประมาณ เครื่องจักรกล อุปกรณ์ในการจัดการแหล่งน้ำ 2. ประชาชนบางส่วนไม่ให้ความร่วมมือในการจัดการแหล่งน้ำ 3. เกิดความขัดแย้งในการใช้ประโยชน์จากน้ำ 4. ขาดความรู้ความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้องในการจัดการบริหารแหล่งน้ำ 5. ระบบคลองชลประทานยังไม่ทั่วถึงและยังไม่ได้มาตรฐาน และ 6. น้ำท่วมขัง ในส่วนกระบวนการจัดการแหล่งน้ำพื่อการเกษตร หมู่ที่ 2 บ้านในคลอง ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ โดยหน่วยงานหลักที่ดำเนินงานในการจัดการแหล่งน้ำ คือ กลุ่มผู้ใช้น้ำบ้านในคลอง หมู่ที่ 2 ตำบลโกรกพระ อำเภอโกรกพระ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ ทั้งในด้านการวางแผนการจัดการแหล่งน้ำ การดำเนินการจัดการแหล่งน้ำและการตรวจสอบการจัดการแหล่งน้ำ โดยอาศัยการมีส่วนร่วมจากคนในชุมชนในทุกกระบวนการ และร่วมบูรณาการกับหน่วยงานอื่น สำหรับแนวทางการจัดการแหล่งน้ำ เพื่อการเกษตรโดยแบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภท ได้แก่ ประเภทที่ 1 การบำรุงรักษาระบบส่งน้ำและกระจายน้ำ ประเภทที่ 2 การบำรุงรักษาระบบส่งน้ำในไร่
