ความสามารถในการสะกดคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นปีที่ 1 (ปวช.1) สาขา เทคนิคคอมพิวเตอร์ วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีโปลิเทคนิคลานนา เชียงใหม่ ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2556 จำนวน 38 คน โดยเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยได้แบ่งออกเป็นสามส่วนคือ ส่วนที่ 1 ประกอบด้วย แผนการสอนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร 2 จำนวน 5 แผน ส่วนที่ 2 แบบฝึกทักษะโดยใช้เกม Spelling Bee 5 แบบฝึก ส่วนที่ 3 เป็นเป็นแบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าคะแนนความสามารถในการสะกดคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียนสูงขึ้นหลังการใช้แบบฝึกทักษะโดยใช้เกม Spelling Bee โดยมีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 จากผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้สามารถนำไปเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาความสามารถในการสะกดคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ ต่อไปได้
