วัดคาทอลิกจันทบุรีหรืออาสนวิหารพระน

วัดคาทอลิกจันทบุรีหรืออาสนวิหารพระนางมารีอาปฏิสนธินิรมล ตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณโรงเรียนสตรีพิทักษ์ ตำบลจันทนิมิตร เป็นวัดที่มีประวัติการก่อสร้างยาวนานถึง 275 ปี ครั้งแรกสร้างขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2254 บนฝั่งตะวันตกของแม่น้ำจันทบุรี โดยคุณพ่อเฮิ้ต โตแลนติโน และบรรดาคาทอลิกชาวญวน จนถึงปีพ.ศ. 2377 ได้มีการย้ายวัดมาสร้างบนฝั่งตะวันออกของแม่น้ำจันทบุรีอันเป็นสถานที่ตั้งในปัจจุบัน โดยมิได้มีการบันทึกถึงสาเหตุของการย้ายแต่ประการใด และในปี พ.ศ.2446 ได้ก่อสร้างวัดหลังปัจจุบันขึ้นให้มีขนาดใหญ่กว่าวัดหลังเก่าเพื่อรองรับกับจำนวนคริสตศาสนิกชนที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น โดยมีลักษณะเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมตะวันตกแบบโกธิค ภายในตกแต่งด้วยกระจกสีที่เรียกว่า สเตนกลาส เป็นภาพนักบุญต่างๆ ซึ่งมีความงดงามและมีคุณค่าทางประวัติศาสตร์เป็นอย่างยิ่ง
