การวิจัยในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) เพื่อศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่อง อาหารและสารอาหารโดยใช้วิธีการสอนแบบ 5 STEPs ร่วมกับการสอนแบบ Concept Attainment สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียนบ้านน้ำแรม อำเภอเด่นชัย จังหวัดแพร่ (2 )เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในงานวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียนบ้านน้ำแรม อำเภอเด่นชัย จังหวัดแพร่ 6 คน โดยได้จากการสุ่มแบบเจาะจง (purpose sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย (1) แผนการสอนวิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่อง อาหารและสารอาหาร โดยใช้วิธีการสอนแบบ 5 STEPs ร่วมกับการสอนแบบ Concept Attainment (2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์เรื่องอาหารและสารอาหาร ซึ่งเป็นแบบทดสอบที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้นเพื่อวัดความสามารถของผู้เรียนใช้ประเมินผลการเรียนเมื่อผู้เรียนเรียนจบเนื้อหาที่กำหนดแล้วแบบทดสอบเป็นปรนัย 10 ข้อ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตาฐานและสถิติ t-test
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พบว่า นักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อนเรียน เท่ากับ 5.67 (SD = 1.033) และนักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังเรียน เท่ากับ 7.67 ( SD = 1.966) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยพบว่า นักเรียน มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังเรียนและก่อนเรียน แตกต่างกันเท่ากับ 2.00(SD=0.933) อย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
