การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทของเทศบาลตำบลพระยืนในการส่งเสริมกีฬาของชุมชน ปัญหาบทบาทของเทศบาลตำบลพระยืนในการส่งเสริมกีฬาของชุมชน และหาแนวทางการพัฒนาบทบาทของเทศบาลตำบลพระยืนในการส่งเสริมกีฬาของชุมชน เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ผู้ให้ข้อมูลทั้งสิ้น 26 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้าง (Semi-Structured Interview) แนวทางการสัมภาษณ์ (Interview Guide) แนวทางสังเกต (Observation Guide) การจดบันทึก การบันทึกเสียง และกล้องถ่ายรูป ได้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive Analysis)
