วัดบูรพารามวัดบูรพาราม ตั้งอยู่ตำบล

วัดบูรพารามวัดบูรพาราม ตั้งอยู่ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอเมือง จ.อุบลราชธานี แต่เดิมที่ตั้งของวัดบูรพานั้น เป็นหมู่บ้านแสนตอ หมู่ที่ 6 ตำบลปทุม อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี เมื่อ พ.ศ.2525 ทางเทศบาลได้ขยายเขตเทศบาลเมืองอุบลราชธานี วัดบูรพาจึงอยู่ในเขตเทศบาลเมืองอุบลราชธานี 

          ตามประวัติวัดบูรพา ไม่มีท่านผู้ใดเขียนไว้ชัดเจน จึงได้อาศัยแต่คำบอกเล่าของคนเฒ่าคนแก่เท่านั้น ซึ่งท่านก็เล่าว่า แต่เดิมนั้นที่ดินตรงนี้เป็นป่าไม้โสงเสง (ภาษาอีสาน) ซึ่งหมายถึงป่าโปร่ง เป็นที่อยู่ของสัตว์หลายชนิด ผู้คนไม่ค่อยเข้าไป จึงเหมาะแก่การปฏิบัติธรรม หลวงปู่ทาสี หลวงปู่เสาร์ ได้ไปปฏิบัติธรรม ขณะนั้นเป็นเพียงสำนักสงฆ์

          ครั้นต่อมาเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2458 หลวงปู่มั่น ภูริทัตโต ทราบข่าว จึงได้เดินทางมาจาก วัดบรมนิวาส กรุงเทพฯ มาฝากตัวเป็นลูกศิษย์ และปฎิบัติธรรมอยู่ที่วัดบูรพา และเมื่อเจ้ากรมหลวงสรรรพสิทธิประสงค์ ได้บริจาคทรัพย์และที่ดิน ให้สร้างวัดบูรพา จึงเป็นต้นกำเนิดสายวิปัฏนากรรมฐาน พระเกจิอาจารย์ต่างๆ ทั่วประเทศได้มาปฏิบัติธรรมที่วัดแห่งนี้

สิ่งก่อสร้างที่สำคัญของวัดบูรพา
