“สงกรานต์กัมพูชา” ถือเป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ของชาวกัมพูชา ซึ่งเป็นช่วงต้นฤดูกาลเก็บเกี่ยว
ฉลองปีใหม่ในเขมรนี้จะจัดขึ้น 3 วัน
ในแต่ละปีรัฐบาลกัมพูชาอาจจะกำหนดให้จัดขึ้นในวันที่ 13-15 หรือ 14-16 เมษายน
วันแรกชาวบ้านจะไปทำบุญตักบาตร มีการขนทรายเข้าวัดเพื่อเตรียมก่อพระเจดีย์ทราย
วันที่สองเป็นวันของครอบครัว พ่อแม่ลูกและญาติพี่น้องจะมารวมตัวกัน อาจจะมีการให้ของขวัญกันเนื่องในวันขึ้นปีใหม่ด้วย ในช่วงค่ำก็จะมาร่วมกันก่อพระเจดีย์ทราย
ส่วนในวันที่สาม จะมีการละเล่นรื่นเริงต่างๆ สรงน้ำพระพุทธรูป และรดน้ำดำหัวญาติผู้ใหญ่เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล
และมีการละเล่นต่างๆ บริเวณวัด เช่น วิ่งกระสอบ
