โครงงานเรื่อง การเปรียบเทียบการติดสีเซลล์จากธรรมชาติของดอกอัญชันและเปลือกมังคุดและศึกษาปริมาณของสารส้มในการช่วยติดสีเซลล์ จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อเปรียบเทียบว่าสีจากพืชชนิดใดย้อมติดเซลล์รากถั่วงอกได้ดีกว่ากัน และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบปริมาณของสารส้มในการช่วยติดสีเซลล์รากถั่วงอก โดยนำดอกอัญชันและเปลือกมังคุดมาคั้นเอาน้ำทำเป็นสารละลาย โดยมีปริมาณสารละลายดอกอัญชันหลอดละ 1.5 มิลลิลิตร จำนวน 4 หลอด และปริมาณสารละลายเปลือกมังคุดหลอดละ 1.5 มิลลิลิตร จำนวน 4 หลอด และใส่สารส้มลงในหลอดทดลองของสารละลายทั้งสองในปริมาณต่างๆ คือ 0.00,0.10,0.25และ0.50 ผลการทดลองพบว่าเซลล์รากถั่วงอกมีการติดสีย้อมจากสารละลายดอกอัญชันและเปลือกมังคุดที่ใส่สารส้มในปริมาณต่างๆ โดยเซลล์มีการติดสีย้อมไม่แตกต่างกัน แต่ก็สามารถมองเห็นโครงสร้างของเซลล์รากถั่วงอกได้ และสามารถนำสีย้อมเซลล์จากพืชทั้งสองชนิดนี้มาใช้ย้อมเซลล์เพื่อส่องดูโครงสร้างเบื้องต้นได้
