วันหยุดปี พ.ศ. ใหม่หรือวันหยุดสงกรานต์ นับเป็นช่วงเวลาแห่งความสุขของคนไทยส่วนใหญ่ ทั้งจากการเดินทางท่องเที่ยว งานเลี้ยงสังสรรค์ หรือการพบปะกันอย่างพร้อมหน้าของสมาชิกในครอบครัว แต่สำหรับบางคนนั้น กลับเป็นช่วงเวลาของความโศกเศร้าที่ยากจะลืม เมื่อสมาชิกในครอบครัวหรือญาติสนิทมิตรสหายจำต้องสังเวยชีวิตให้กับอุบัติเหตุทางถนนที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงวันหยุดเทศกาล
