บทคัดย่อ

โครงการศูนย์อนุรักษ์และจัดแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำ เป็นหนึ่งในโครงการที่จะเป็นแหล่งในการอนุรักษ์พันธุ์สัตว์น้ำประจำท้องถิ่น ซึ่งในปัจจุบันสัตว์น้ำในแหล่งน้ำธรรมชาติเริ่มมีจำนวนลดน้อยลง ซึ่งโครงการจะเป็นแหล่งให้ความรู้เพิ่มเติมแก่นิสิตนักศึกษา และประชาชนผู้สนใจ และเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวพักผ่อนของประชาชนในบริเวณใกล้เคียง และนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติ โดยผู้ชมโครงการจะรับทั้งความรู้ ความเข้าใจของชีวิตสัตว์น้ำในเขตลุ่มน้ำชีมากยิ่งขึ้น
วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ได้ศึกษาเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับการออกแบบอาคารจัดแสดงสัตว์น้ำ พฤติกรรมของผู้ใช้สอยโครงการ วิธีและรูปแบบการจัดแสดง ระบบอุปกรณ์เฉพาะทางของการเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำ ข้อมูลของพันธ์ปลาหายากของลุ่มน้ำชี ลักษณะของภูมิประเทศ ภูมิอากาศของที่ตั้งโครงการ แล้วนำมาวิเคราะห์หาข้อมูลในการออกแบบด้านแนวคิด พื้นที่ใช้สอย ที่ตั้งและขนาดของโครงการ เพื่อสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมอันเหมาะสมกับการศึกษาชีวิตของสัตว์น้ำประจำถิ่น
รูปแบบอาคารโดยคราว ดังนี้
ก) ลักษณะของโครงการเป็นอาคารประเภท พิพิธภัณฑ์ที่เน้นการจัดแสดงสัตว์น้ำ โดยมีองประกอบหลักๆ คือ ส่วนบริการ ส่วนจัดแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำ ส่วนจัดแสดงเนื้อหา ส่วนบริการวิชาการ ส่วนบริหาร ส่วนปฏิบัติการ ส่วนวิจัย ส่วนเทคนิค และส่วนที่จอดรถ รวมพื้นที่ใช้สอยทั้งหมดประมาณ 12025 ตารางเมตร
ข) ที่ตั้งของโครงการอยู่บริเวณถนนทางหลวงหมายเลข 213 อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม มีขนาดที่ดินประมาณ 15.18ไร่
ค) แนวความคิดหลัก การนำเอาลักษณะของเส้นที่เคลื่อนไหว มาใช้ออกแบบอาคาร มาแปลงเป็นนำสายตา เพื่อดึงดูดผู้ใช้ให้เข้าสู่ตัวอาคาร ในการออแบบผังบริเวณ และรูปแบบอาคาร มีการเปิดพื้นที่เป็นลานกิจกรรมเพื่อให้เป็นตัวเชื่อมต่อกับส่วนต่างๆ และเชื่อมกับบริบทโดยรอบของพื้นที่โครงการ และนำเอาแนวความคิดในการจัดแสดงที่ค่อยๆลดระดับจากพื้นดินลงไปเรื่อยๆ ให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนกำลังเดินลงไปในแหล่งน้ำ
