บทคัดย่อ
การท่องเที่ยวในเชิงการเกษตรแบบออแกนิก เป็นการศึกษาและเรียนรู้วิถีชีวิตการเพาะปลูก ที่คำนึงถึงความไม่เป็นพิต่อธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม และสร้างประโยชน์ให้แก่ตนเอง และชุมชน
ปัจจุบันได้มีกระแส ของการรักสุขภาพของคนในยุคนี้มากยิ่งขึ้น ทำให้เกิดการปรุงแต่งอาหารที่มีความสดใหม่และเป็นพืชผักที่ปลอดสารพิษเพื่อให้ผู้บริโภค ได้รับคุณภาพจากอาหารมากที่สุด
โครงการเชียงดาว ออแกนิกฟาร์ม เป็นโครงการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการเกษตร ซึ่งจะรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งในส่วน ที่พัก กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ การท่องเที่ยว การซื้อและบริโภคพืชผักออแกนิก และยังมีกระบวนการทางอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้เข้าสัมผัส และเรียนรู้ขั้นตอนและกรรมวิธีการแปรรูปผลิตภัณฑ์ ซึ่งทุกกิจกรรม ล้วนทำให้ผู้เข้าใช้บริการได้สัมผัสถึง ความเรียบง่าย วิถีชีวิตพื้นบ้าน ของชาวล้านนา ธรรมชาติ ภูมิทัศน์ของอำเภอเชียงดาว ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นไปที่ความสงบ ราบเรียบ และผ่อนคลาย แต่ก็จะมีการแทรกซึมจิตสำนึกของความรักและหวงแหน ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ เข้าไปในการวางผังของอาคาร ที่มีการแทรมซึมของธรรมชาติเข้าสู่ งานสถาปัตยกรรมอีกด้วย
ดังนั้นจึงเกิดแนวคิดในการออกแบบอาคารและผังโครงการเพื่อให้มีความสัมพันธ์กับชุมชนและท้องถิ่น โดยเน้นที่รูปแบบของอาคาร วัสดุที่ใช้ อีกทั้งยังใช้พลังงานหมุนเวียนและการพึ่งพาอาศัยธรรมชาติ โดยไม่ทำร้ายและทำลายทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอีกด้วย
