บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยเรื่อง ศักยภาพการพัฒนาการจัดการที่พักอาศัยในรูปแบบโฮมสเตย์ในเขตพื้นที่ชุมชนบ้านห้วยส้านพลับพลา ตำบลโป่งแพร่ อำเภอแม่ลาว จังหวัดเชียงราย มีวัตถุกประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาศักยภาพของความพร้อมในการจัดตั้งบ้านเป็นที่พักอาศัยในรูปแบบโฮมสเตย์ ในเขตพื้นที่ชุมชนบ้านห้วยส้านพลับพลา ตำบลโป่งแพร่ อำเภอแม่ลาว จังหวัดเชียงราย ตามกรอบตัวชี้วัดมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ เพื่อทราบความต้องการของนักท่องเที่ยวในการจัดตั้งที่พักอาศัยในรูปแบบโฮมสเตย์ และเพื่อหาแนวทางส่งเสริมพัฒนาการจัดการที่พักอาศัยและจัดทำข้อเสนอแผนยุทธศาสตร์เบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยวแบบโฮมสเตย์ในเขตพื้นที่ชุมชนบ้านห้วยส้านพลับพลา ตำบลโป่งแพร่ อำเภอแม่ลาว จังหวัดเชียงราย
การวิจัยในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัยสามารถแบ่งได้ 2 กลุ่ม ประกอบด้วย กลุ่มที่ 1 หัวหน้าครัวเรือนในเขตพื้นที่ชุมชนบ้านห้วยส้านพลับพลา ตำบลโป่งแพร่ อำเภอแม่ลาว จังหวัดเชียงราย จำนวน 68 คน และ กลุ่มที่ 2 นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่เดินทางเข้ามาในเขตพื้นที่อำเภอแม่ลาว จังหวัดเชียงราย จำนวน 100 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามจำนวน 2 ชุด เป็นเครื่องมือในการสอบถาม รวมจำนวน 168 ชุด สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์คือ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive Statistics) ซึ่งได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย (Mean) ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (Standard Deviation)
จากการศึกษาการวิจัยในครั้งนี้พบว่า ระดับความต้องการและความคิดเห็นของนักท่องเที่ยวเกี่ยวกับลักษณะโฮมสเตย์ที่พึงประสงค์ โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากทุกรายการตามกรอบดัชนีวัดคุณภาพมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ สำนักงานการท่องเที่ยว ด้านที่พัก ด้านอาหารและโภชนา ด้านความปลอดภัย ด้านการจัดการ ด้านกิจกรรมท่องเที่ยว ด้านสภาพแวดล้อม ด้านมูลค่าเพิ่ม และด้านการส่งเสริมการตลาด โดยระดับความต้องการและความคิดเห็นของนักท่องเที่ยวเกี่ยวกับลักษณะโฮมสเตย์ที่พึงประสงค์ที่มีภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก และมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ด้านสภาพแวดล้อม ซึ่งชุมชนได้มีการดูแลรักษาสภาพแวดล้อมทั้งที่เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวและชุมชนอยู่เสมอ แสดงให้เห็นว่าชุมชนมีสภาพแวดล้อมที่ดีซึ่งถือเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ควรพิจารณาในการพัฒนาโฮมสเตย์ ด้านบ้านพัก (Accommodation) และแบบที่พักสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยว (Provision of Accommodation for Tourist) ได้แก่ บ้านพักมีโครงสร้างที่ดี ชุมชนมีสภาพแวดล้อมที่ดี ไม่ไกลจากเมืองหรือพื้นที่เทศกาลหรือสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว ควรมีที่นอน หรือเตียงนอน หมอน น้ำประปาหรือถ้าไม่มีควรมีแหล่งน้ำอื่น ๆ ห้องน้ำสะอาด
