งานวิจัยเรื่องการศึกษาความอยู่ดีมีสุขของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน กรณี: เทศบาลตำบลคลองใหญ่ อำเภอ ตะโหมด จังหวัดพัทลุง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความอยู่ดีมีสุขระหว่างผู้สูงอายุเพศหญิงและผู้สูงอายุเพศชาย เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อภาระหนี้สินและเงินออมของผู้สูงอายุ และเพื่อศึกษาระดับความสุขของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน เทศบาลตำบลคลองใหญ่ อำเภอตะโหมด จังหวัดพัทลุง จำนวน 234 ชุด ผลการวิจัยข้อมูลทั่วไป พบว่าพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิงมากกว่าเพศชาย ผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่มีอายุต่ำกว่าหรือเท่ากับ 70 ปี ส่วนใหญ่มีสถานภาพเป็นสมรส ส่วนระดับการศึกษาสูงสุดของผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่จะมีระดับการศึกษาต่ำกว่าระดับปริญญาตรี จำนวนสมาชิกในครอบครัวของผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่มีจำนวน 4-6 สถานภาพในครอบครัวส่วนใหญ่เป็นหัวหน้าครอบครัว ส่วนรายได้ต่อเดือนของผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่อยู่ที่ 5,001-15,000 บาทและอาชีพปัจจุบันของผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่เป็นเกษตรกร รองลงมาคือไม่ได้ทำงาน
