พระยาไกรภักดีศรีนครลำดวน  เจ้าเมืองขุขันธ์  คนที่ ๑

     พระยาไกรภักดีศรีนครลำดวน เป็นหัวหน้าเขมรส่วยป่าดง  หมู่บ้านโคกลำดวนหรือบ้านดวนใหญ่ในปัจจุบัน

เมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๓๐๒ ได้อาสาออกติดตามพญาช้างเผือก ในสมเด็จพระที่นั่งสุริยาทอัมรินทร์ หรือพระเจ้าเอกทัศน์ แห่งกรุงศรีอยุธยา  ร่วมกับสหายชาว

ส่วยเขมรป่าดง เช่นเชียงปุม  แห่งบ้านเมืองที่เชียงสีแห่งบ้านกุดหวาย เชียงฆะ แห่งบ้านดงยาง จนสามารถจับพญา ช้างเผือก นำกลับกรุงศรีอยุธยา

ได้อย่าง ปลอดภัย  จึงได้รับ พระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานบรรดาศักดิ์เป็น "หลวงแก้วสุวรรณ"  ให้ควบคุมลูกบ้านเขมรป่าดงในหมู่บ้านตน 

คือ บ้านปราสาทสี่เหลี่ยมโคกลำดวน หรือบ้านดวนใหญ่ขึ้นต่อเมืองพิมาย ต่อมา ได้นำของบรรณาการส่งทูลถวาย ณ กรุงศรีอยุธยา สมเด็จพระที่นั่งสุริยามรินทร์ จึงได้โปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานยกฐานะบ้านปราสาท สี่เหลี่ยมโคกลำดวนขึ้นเป็น

"เมืองขุขันธ์"  เลื่อนบรรดาศักดิ์จาก "หลวงแก้วสุวรรณ"  เป็น  "พระยาไกรภักดีศรีนครลำดวน" เจ้าเมืองขุขันธ์ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๓๐๖  ปี พ.ศ. ๒๓๑๙
