โครงงานนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อ ศึกษาโครงสร้าง หลักการ และออกแบบระบบอาคารอัตโนมัติ โดยการนำเอาระบบ PLC ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการควบคุมอาคาร และระบบ SCADA เพื่อใช้ในการติดต่อกับผู้ใช้งาน ซึ่งทำให้การใช้งานอาคารมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น สะดวกต่อการใช้งาน ง่ายต่อการเข้าใจของผู้ควบคุม ลดรายจ่ายในการสูญเสียพลังงานที่ไม่จำเป็น และเพิ่มความปลอดภัยของอาคารที่ติดตั้งระบบนี้ โดยการศึกษาทฤษฏีอาคารอัตโนมัติประกอบด้วยระบบไฟฟ้า ระบบอาคาร ระบบบริหารความปลอดภัย เป็นต้น และการประยุกต์ใช้ PLC กับ ระบบ SCADA เพื่อนำมาวิเคราะห์ปรับปรุง และพัฒนาการทำงานของอาคารได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด
