การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลของสมาชิกที่มีส่วนร่วมในการดำเนินธุรกิจของสหกรณ์ 2) เพื่อศึกษาระดับความสำคัญของปัจจัยด้านสหกรณ์ที่ส่งผลให้สมาชิกมีส่วนร่วมในการดำเนินธุรกิจกับสหกรณ์ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ปัจจัยด้านบุคคล และด้านสหกรณ์กับการมีส่วนร่วมดำเนินธุรกิจกับสหกรณ์ 4) เพื่อศึกษาปัญหา อุปสรรค และข้อเสนอแนะของสมาชิกในการมีส่วนร่วมดำเนินธุรกิจกับสหกรณ์
ประชากรที่ศึกษา คือ สมาชิกสหกรณ์นิคมนครชุม จำกัด โดยศึกษาเฉพาะประธานกลุ่ม และเลขานุการกลุ่ม 38 กลุ่ม เป็นจำนวน 76 คน และสมาชิกสหกรณ์กลุ่มละ 3 คน เฉพาะผู้ทำธุรกิจกับสหกรณ์เป็นจำนวน 114 คน รวมเป็น 190 คน การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือแบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์โดยใช้สถิติทดสอไคสแควร์ Chi-Square เพื่อหาความสัมพันธ์ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
