การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคลของนักลงทุนรายย่อย ที่ส่งผลต่อการลงทุนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย กรณีศึกษาจังหวัดนครราชสีมา การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้ข้อมูลปฐมภูมิโดยการออกแบบสอบถามกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นนักลงทุนรายย่อยในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดนครราชสีมา จำนวน 390 คน ระหว่างเดือนมีนาคมถึงเดือนเมษายน 2558 และทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา เช่น ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยและค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานในการวิเคราะห์ การทดสอบสมมติฐานใช้สถิติเชิงอนุมาน คือ การวิเคราะห์โดยวิธี t-test (Independent-Samples Test) และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบทางเดียว (One-Way Analysis of Variance) ซึ่งกำหนดระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.05
