ประเพณีกวนข้าวทิพย์ เป็นพระราชพิธีซึ่งมีมาตั้งแต่สมัยสุโขทัยและกรุงศรีอยุธยา
เป็นราชธานี และได้รับการฟื้นฟูครั้งใหญ่ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๑ และในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๒ และรัชกาลที่ ๓
