การวิจัยเรื่องความสุขของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทาครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive research) ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนในภาคการศึกษาปลายปีการศึกษา 2558 จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 32,839 คน (Suan Sunandha Rajaphat University, 2015) ใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 400 คน คำนวณโดยใช้วิธีการของยามาเน่ (Taro Yamane) กำหนดความเชื่อมั่นที่ 95% ความคลาดเคลื่อนที่ +5% สุ่มตัวอย่างแบบโควตา (Quota Sampling) เปรียบเทียบหาสัดส่วนตามจำนวนนักศึกษาในแต่ละคณะแสดงในตารางที่ 1 ดังต่อไปนี้
