วันที่ 2 ก.ย. สน.บางขุนเทียน รับแจ้งมีคนผูกคอตายในโรงงานแห่งหนึ่ง ในซอยจอมทอง 12 แขวงบางค้อ เขตจอมทอง พบศพนายสีวันเว ชิดพน อายุ 27 ปี ลูกจ้างโรงงานสัญชาติลาว ใช้เชือกรูดกางเกงผูกคอกับเหล็กเส้นจากดาดฟ้าโรงงาน สอบสวนเจ้าของโรงงานให้การว่า ผู้ตายบ่นอยากกลับบ้านแต่ที่บ้านไม่ให้กลับและมักแอบดมทินเนอร์ เบื้องต้นเจ้าหน้าที่คาดว่าผู้ตายอาจเครียดที่ไม่ได้กลับบ้านหรือหลอนจากการดมทินเนอร์จึงตัดสินใจผูกคอตาย
