บ้านสตึง เป็นหมู่บ้านชนบทเล็กในตำบลดม ที่มีวัฒนธรรมที่เรียบง่าย มีธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม มีแม่น้ำไหลตรงกลางหมู่บ้าน มีวัดที่สำคัญคือ วัดเทพครีอุดม ผู้คนมักจะไปทำบุญบ่อยๆ มีปราสาทที่สำคัญคือปราสาทภูมิโปน ชาวบ้านมีการเล่นดนตรีไทยเพื่อสืบสานวัฒนธรรมไทย และในทุกๆปีจะมีการทำบุญหมู่บ้าน ชาวบ้านสจะช่วยกันทำอาหารมาทำบุญกันอย่างมาก
ชาวบ้านส่วนใหญ่มีอาชีพเกษตรกรรมเช่น ปลูกข้าว ปลูกอ้อย ปลูกมันสำปะหลัง เป็นต้น บ้างก็เลี้ยงสัตว์เช่นไก่ หมู ควาย วัว เป็นต้น ชาวบ้านมักปลูกผักไว้รัปประทานเอง รอบๆหมู่บ้านมีต้นไม้มากมายและทุกๆบ้านก็จะปลูกต้นไม้ประดับเกือบทุกบ้าน. อาหารที่ที่นิยมก็คือน้ำพริกจิ้มผัก ชาวบ้านมีความรักและสามัคคีกันเสมอ ฉันประทับใจในทุกอย่างที่เป็นบ้านเกิดฉัน แม้มันจะเป็นหมู่บ้านเล็กๆ แต่เต็มไปด้วยความทรงจำและประทับใจ
