การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการในการพัฒนาตนเองของครูผู้สอนในกลุ่ม ตำบลบางหญ้าแพรก อำเภอพระประแดง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือ ครูผู้สอนในกลุ่ม ตำบลบางหญ้าแพรก อำเภอพระประแดง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการปีการศึกษา 2557 จำนวน 90 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม ประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยการหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความต้องการในการพัฒนาตนเองของครูผู้สอนในกลุ่ม ตำบลบางหญ้าแพรก อำเภอพระประแดง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการในภาพรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก เรียงลำดับค่าเฉลี่ยจากมากไปหาน้อย คือ มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านความเป็นครู มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตร มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้ มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านการวัดและประเมินผลการศึกษา มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านภาษาและเทคโนโลยีสำหรับครู มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านจิตวิทยาสำหรับครู มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านการบริหารจัดการห้องเรียน มาตรฐานความรู้ด้านนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศทางการศึกษา และมาตรฐานมาตรฐานความรู้ด้านการวิจัยทางการศึกษา ตามลำดับ
