จากผลการสำรวจการแสดงความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2557 มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพธนบุรี จำนวน 60 คน โดยให้นักศึกษาเขียนแสดงความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับความคาดหวังจาก การเรียนวิชาฟิสิกส์ และสิ่งที่อยากเรียนเกี่ยวกับวิชาฟิสิกส์ จากผลการวิเคราะห์สามารถจำแนกความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาออกเป็น 3 ด้าน คือ ปัญหาในการเรียนวิชาฟิสิกส์ ความคาดหวังจากการเรียนวิชาฟิสิกส์ และสิ่งที่อยากเรียนเกี่ยวกับวิชาฟิสิกส์ โดยสามารถสรุปได้ว่า ปัญหาหลักของนักศึกษาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์คือ ความรู้วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ และฟิสิกส์ไม่เพียงพอ ส่วนความคาดหวังจากการเรียนฟิสิกส์ และสิ่งที่อยากเรียนวิชาฟิสิกส์ คือ การนำประยุกต์ใช้ได้ได้จริงในสายวิศวกรรมศาสตร์
