ไดโนเสาร์เป็นสัตว์ดึกดำบรรพ์ที่ใช้ชีวิตอยู่บนโลกใบนี้มายาวนานก่อนมนุษย์หลายล้านปี แต่แล้วได้โนเสาร์ก็ได้หายสาบสูญไปเหลือทิ้งไว้เพียงแต่ร่องรอยและซากโครงกระดูกให้เราได้เรียนรู้และศึกษา ในประเทศไทยนั้นมีการขุดค้นพบซากฟอสซิลของไดโนเสาร์อยู่หลายจังหวัดอธิเช่น ที่ อ.ภูเวียง จังหวัดขอนแก่น, บ้านสะพานหิน จ.นครศรีธรรมราช, อ.ภูกระดึง จ.เลย , อ.น้ำหนาว จ.เพชรบูรณ์ , จ.กาฬสินธุ์ และอีกหลายจังหวัดในประเทศไทยที่ได้พบร่องรอยของได้โนเสาร์
ในส่วนของภาคเหนือนั้นได้มีการขุดค้นพบซากไดโนเสาร์ที่ อ.เชียงม่วน จ.พะเยา ซึ่งเป็นเพียงแหล่งเดียวที่มีการขุดค้นพบซากไดโนเสาร์ในภาคเหนือ ซึ่งนี่เองเป็นเหตุผลที่ทำให้พะเยา108 ต้องออกเดินทางไปเยี่ยมชมให้เห็นกับตาว่าไดโนเสาร์ที่เชียงม่วนเป็นอย่างไร

ภายในสถานที่จัดแสดงมีโครงกระดูกไดโนเสาร์ตัวสูงใหญ่ยืนอวดโฉมให้กับผู้ที่มาเยี่ยมชมรวมถึงมีนิทรรศการจัดแสดงเกี่ยวกับประวัติความเป็นมาของไดโนเสาร์รวมไปถึงประวัติความเป็นมาของไดโนเสาร์เชียงม่วน ไดโนเสาร์เชียงม่วนเป็นไดโนเสาร์ตัวแรกที่ค้นพบในภาคเหนือ ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2545 – 2552 นายวรวุธ สุธีธร นักโบราณชีววิทยา หัวหน้าคณะสำรวจของกรมทรัพยากรธรณีได้นำคณะสำรวจเข้ามาทำการขุดค้นซากดึกดำ บรรพ์ที่พบที่ อ.เชียงม่วน จ.พะเยา พบซากกระดูกไดโนเสาร์วางตัวเรียงต่อกันในแนวทิศเหนือ-ทิศใต้ จำนวน 104 ชิ้น ประกอบด้วยกระดูกคอ กระดูกสันหลัง กระดูกโคนหาง กระดูกสะโพกและกระดูกซี่โครง ผลการตรวจสอบทำให้ทราบว่าซากดึกดำบรรพ์ที่ค้นพบเป็นซากไดโนเสาร์ซอโรพอด ซึ่งมีคอยาว หางยาว เดิน 4 ขา และกินพืชเป็นอาหาร ปัจจุบันยังไม่สามารถระบุชนิดได้ แต่พบว่ามีลักษณะต่างจากไดโนเสาร์ซอโรพอดชนิดอื่นๆที่เคยพบในประเทศไทย สันนิษฐานว่าอาจเป็นชนิดพบใหม่ของโลก เนื่องจากแหล่งที่พบเป็นพื้นที่ใหม่ที่เพิ่งมีการค้นพบซากดึกดำบรรพ์ของไดโนเสาร์
