การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภาวะเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และระดับความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจของครัวเรือนเกษตร บ้านท่าโพธิ์ออก ตำบลท่าโพธิ์ อำเภอสะเดา จังหวัดสงขลา ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษา คือ โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเก็บข้อมูล จำนวน 129 ชุด ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรม SPSS ซึ่งสถิติที่ใช้ ได้แก่ ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าสถิติร้อย ผลการศึกษาวิจัยพบว่า หัวหน้าครัวเรือนเกษตรบ้านท่าโพธิ์ออก เป็นเพศหญิงจำนวน 73 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 56.6 และมี อายุอยู่ในช่วง 40-49 ปี จำนวน 43 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 26.4 มีสถานะสมรส จำนวน 103 ครัวเรือน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 79.8 ระดับการศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีระดับการศึกษาประถมศึกษา จำนวน 55 ครัวเรือน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 42.5มีรายได้ที่มาจากการทำสวนยางพาราเฉลี่ย 8,821.95 บาท ค่าใช้จ่ายจะมีการใช้จ่ายเพื่อการบริโภคเฉลี่ย 7,810.85 บาท มีทุนการผลิตที่เพียงพอ ครัวเรือนมีหนี้สินจำนวน 37 ครัวเรือน เฉลี่ย 246,031.62 บาท การออมของครัวเรือนจำนวน 40 ครัวเรือน เฉลี่ย 40,608.70 บาทโดยสาเหตุของการมีหนี้สินส่วนใหญ่เกิดมาจาก การมีภาระรายจ่ายเพิ่มขึ้น มีรายได้ไม่เพียงพอ อีกทั้งมีการขายผลผลิตที่ได้ราคาต่ำในขณะที่ทุนในการผลิตเท่าเดิม
