ตามที่กระทรวงศึกษาธิการได้จัดทำแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพการเรียนการสอนภาษาไทยและการใช้ภาษาไทยขึ้นเพื่อให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องตระหนักในความสำคัญ ความจำเป็น และมุ่งมั่นที่จะต้องเร่งรัดยกระดับคุณภาพการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยและการใช้ภาษาไทย โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ทุกส่วนของสังคมมีส่วนร่วมส่งเสริม สนับสนุนการเรียนการสอนภาษาไทยและการใช้ภาษาไทยทุกระดับ ทั้งนี้โดยมีเป้าหมายสำคัญที่จะให้เด็กและเยาวชนของชาติได้รับการพัฒนาภาษาไทยอย่างสูงสุดเต็มตามศักยภาพ
และสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต ๒๙ ได้เร่งรัดให้สถานศึกษาได้ดำเนินการตามแผนฯ โรงเรียนไผ่ใหญ่ศึกษา ได้ดำเนินการเพื่อสนองนโยบายดังกล่าวและก็ได้ตระหนัก เห็นคุณค่าและปัญหาการใช้ภาษาไทยของนักเรียนมาโดยตลอด ได้จัดทำโครงการ พัฒนาเทคนิคการสอน สื่อนวัตกรรมต่างๆ ขึ้นมาอย่างหลากหลาย ไม่เพียงแต่กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยเท่านั้น แต่รวมถึงทุกกลุ่มสาระ โดยมุ่งมั่นที่จะพัฒนา ส่งเสริม แก้ไข ปลูกฝังนิสัยรักการอ่าน ตลอดจนการใช้ภาษาไทยให้ถูกต้องแก่นักเรียน เพื่อให้บรรลุวัตถุประสงค์ตามแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพการเรียนการสอนภาษาไทยและการใช้ภาษาจัดโครงการส่งเสริมรักการอ่าน ขึ้น

๒. วัตถุประสงค์
๑. เพื่อให้นักเรียนอ่านเป็นและมีนิสัยรักการอ่าน
