ปราสาทบ้านไพล ตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านปราสาท ตำบลเชื้อเพลิง ห่างจากตัวเมืองสุรินทร์ประมาณ 22 กิโลเมตร (ก่อนถึงที่ว่าการอำเภอปราสาท 6 กิโลเมตร) มีทางแยกขวาไปตามถนนลาดยางอีก 3กิโลเมตร ตัวปราสาทมีลักษณะเป็นปรางค์ 3 องค์ สร้างด้วยอิฐขัดตั้งเรียงเป็นแนวเดียวกัน มีคูน้ำล้อมรอบ ยกเว้นทางเข้าด้านทิศตะวันออก แม้ว่าศิวลึงค์และทับหลังบางส่วนจะหายไป แต่จากเศษทับหลังที่เก็บรักษาไว้ในพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติพิมาย ทำให้ทราบว่าปราสาทหลังนี้คงสร้างขึ้นราวพุทธศตวรรษที่ 16
